Puerto Rican Diaspora and South Florida Population Growth

Below is a link to a report from Cushman & Wakefield with a snap shot of anticipated population increases in Florida, due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, and the displacement of many Puerto Rican families. Brickell Ventures previously anticipated an increase of nearly 21% population growth within Downtown Miami over the next 4 years from ordinary population trends. However, with substantial inflows of Puerto Ricans,  our assessment is likely too conservative, and population growth is likely to swell within Downtown Miami far more than the anticipated 107,000 person population in 2021 we originally forecasted.
